Big Data Yoga (BDY) is a portal for housing physiological data that has been collected by individual yoga practitioners using wearable technology. The system follows data sharing protocol by de-identifying personal information related to the data of specific individuals. Data sharing protocols provide privacy for the individual and allow data to be safely shared with the larger Big Data Yoga member community.
Yoga works. Let’s prove it.
Big Data Yoga members upload their data to track the long term effects of their yoga practice. The open source platform allows members to share and view data to better understand how their physiology compares to other yogis and non-yogis.
Filters within the BDY portal allow members to view data from individuals based on available general criteria such as gender, age, height and weight. The database continues to expand to allow for greater filtering of data.
